A Loughborough home care provider has been rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission following its first inspection.
Radfield Home Care Loughborough, Charnwood & Melton Mowbray, run by Akash Raja, supports more than 45 clients across the area and is currently the only provider in Loughborough to hold the Outstanding rating.
The inspection report praised the quality of care being delivered in peopleโs own homes, with clients speaking highly of the support they receive and the relationships they have built with staff.
Greg Rielly, CQCโs deputy director of adult social care in the East Midlands, said: โPeople using the service were delighted with their care and support and spoke highly of the relationships they had built with staff.โ
The report found that people felt listened to, with strong communication from the office team, reliable visits and support from a well-trained team. It also highlighted the importance of unhurried care, helping people feel respected, supported and able to maintain their independence at home.
Jenny Abram, 71, who has received support for more than three years, said: โEach day, I look forward to the visits from my Radfield carers. They care deeply about my well-being, and their support has been a huge relief for my family and me.โ
Mr Raja said the rating was a proud moment for the whole team.
He said: โTo be recognised as Outstanding on our first inspection is a huge achievement for our team. I couldnโt be more proud of them.
โWhat matters most is how we make people feel. Hearing that our care makes a real difference to someoneโs day, or helps them feel like themselves again, is just so heart-warming.โ
The Outstanding rating places the service among the highest-performing home care providers in England, with only a small proportion of home care agencies nationally achieving the standard.
The recognition follows further success for the wider Radfield Home Care group, which was named Most Outstanding National Home Care Group at the 2026 Home Care Awards.
