Loughborough Church of England Primary School is celebrating after receiving a highly positive SIAMS inspection report, recognising its strong Christian vision, inclusive culture and commitment to helping every child flourish.
SIAMS, the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools, evaluates how church schools live out their Christian vision and support pupils, staff and the wider school community.
Inspectors praised the school’s Christian vision, “Together in God’s grace may we give our children the roots to grow and the wings to fly,” describing it as “the bedrock on which the school builds high aspirations for both pupils and adults.”
The report highlighted how this vision is deeply embedded throughout school life, helping to create a nurturing environment where pupils, staff and families feel valued and supported.
Inspectors noted that “individuals thrive and lives are treasured in a rich culture of Christian love,” with exceptionally strong relationships contributing to a genuine sense of belonging across the school community.
Loughborough Church of England Primary School, which has around 143 pupils, was also commended for its close partnership with local churches. The inspection found that these “exceptionally strong links” help demonstrate faith in action and ensure the school remains deeply rooted in its Christian foundation, enriching pupils’ experiences both in school and in the wider community.
The report also recognised the strength of pupil voice, highlighting the opportunities children have to influence school life through the pupil parliament and leadership roles. Inspectors found that pupils know their opinions matter and confidently embrace responsibilities that help improve their school and support others.
Inspectors praised the school’s inclusive approach to education, recognising how the curriculum inspires pupils to aim high while ensuring those with additional needs are fully supported to succeed.
One pupil reflected: “This school has given me no limit to grow and drives me to soar as high as I can.”
The SIAMS report also recognised the school’s commitment to wellbeing, noting that leaders have created a deeply caring culture where staff “go the extra mile” to support children and families.
Personalised support, strong relationships and a welcoming environment help ensure every child is given the opportunity to flourish academically, spiritually and personally.
